Bio

Dee Willson grew up in St.Catharines, Ontario, where she was most often found with her nose in a book and skates on her feet. She felt the writer’s call at fifteen when she penned her first novel (about unicorns, of course) and received her first rejection letter (Berkley Publishing, nice people) to go with it.

Dreaming of a gig in advertising led her to a marketing and advertising degree. It also led to a private meeting with a creative writing professor and school counsellor, who both thought her term paper was a cry for help. It wasn’t, but she was pleased nonetheless.

Over twenty years later, with two successful businesses under her belt (both working with Canada’s largest book retailer, Indigo Books), Dee Willson rekindled her passion for novels. She joined a hard-core book club, published short stories and interviews, contributed to blogs (Writer Unboxed!), and wrote the award-winning novel A Keeper’s Truth, followed by GOT (Gift of Travel). Dee is presently working on the second installment in the Keeper’s series, and No Apology For Being, a crazy ghost story riddled with fate.

Dee is also a professional writer and editor. Details regarding her editorial business, beop inc, can be found at www.beop.ca.

Dee and her family currently reside in Port Dalhousie, Ontario. They've built their dream home on the shore of Lake Ontario, where they frolic in the lake, and will possibly grow four heads. Visit her online at deewillson.com or on Twitter @denisewillson
